All Forest Rest Houses in the Dhikala Zone are accessible only through authorized forest vehicles and remain closed from 15 June to 15 November during the monsoon season. Dhikala Forest Rest House is one of the most popular forest lodges inside Jim Corbett National Park, located about 35 km from Dhangari Gate along the Ramganga River. Surrounded by dense Sal forests, it offers a true wildlife and jungle stay experience.

The lodge provides accommodation options such as cottages, log huts, and heritage bungalows, along with basic amenities. Restaurant/canteen facilities are available at Dhikala Forest Rest Houses, but meals are not included in the package cost.

Gairal Forest Rest House is one of the oldest forest lodges in the Dhikala zone, built in 1903. It is located about 13 km from Dhangarhi Gate and around 35 km from Ramnagar, deep inside the forest, offering a quiet and natural stay. The rest house is protected by a solar electric fence to prevent wildlife entry.

Dining Facilities: In-house Canteen available (serves simple, homely meals).

Sarpduli Forest Rest House is a peaceful jungle stay option located near the Ramganga river corridor. Surrounded by dense forest and abundant wildlife, it offers a raw and authentic forest stay experience.

Dining Facility: Canteen not available. (Note: Guests are required to bring their own dry rations/food items).

Sultan Forest Rest House is located approximately 8 km inside Dhangarhi Gate, close to the Ramganga region. Surrounded by dense sal woods and open river valleys, it offers a calm jungle stay experience away from crowds.

Arrive in Ramnagar and complete forest permit formalities at Dhangarhi Gate. Proceed on an introductory 32 km core jungle drive through dense Sal forests and grasslands before reaching Dhikala Forest Rest House. Complete check-in formalities and rest amidst the wilderness. In the afternoon, head out for an exciting Jeep Safari in Dhikala Zone, known for Royal Bengal Tigers, Asian elephants, spotted deer, wild boars, and gharials along the river. Return to the rest house before sunset for an overnight stay inside the core forest.

Depart early morning for a sunrise Jeep Safari in the Dhikala grasslands, the best time to track big cats and active birdlife. Return to the rest house, check out, and take the return drive back to Ramnagar, concluding your Dhikala 1 Night / 2 Days jungle tour.

Important Guidelines & Policies

• Age Rules: Children over 5 years are counted as full adults (for foreigners/Indians). Children below 5 years are complimentary without an extra bed.
• Timings: Check-in time is 12:00 PM, Check-out time is 11:00 AM.
• Gate Cut-off: Entry inside Dhangarhi Gate is strictly closed after 3:30 PM.
• Cancellation: Forest Rest House permits and stays are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable.
• What to Carry: Valid original government-issued photo ID (same as provided during booking), personal medicines, torch, warm layers, and a power bank (as electricity timings are regulated by solar/generators).
